The energy transition requires a developed infrastructure both in the production phase, but especially in the field of energy storage systems and smart and resilient distribution networks. The national energy system cannot currently support seasonal climate change, but also the integration of energy from different generation sources into the national grid. The World Bank has estimated investments of up to €4.82 billion by 2050 to modernize the national energy infrastructure.
