Information trip for companies from Romania and the Republic of Moldova in the field of waste management/recycling during 13th to 16th May 2024

AHK Romania in cooperation with GODUNI International and the German RETech Partnership e.V. is organising from 13 to 16 May 2024 an information trip to Germany for buyers, multipliers and decision-makers from government, administrations, system operators, waste management organisations in Romania and Republic of Moldova.

This information trip gives the Romanian and Moldovan companies in the waste and recycling industry an insight over the German technologies, processes and solutions. For the German small and medium-sized enterprises it will be an opportunity to present their services, products and solutions to Romanian counterparts and to jointly discuss cooperation approaches.
This trip will include a visit to IFAT fair in Munich, at the stands of the interested German exhibitors’, as well as a specialized forum, for the representatives of the related industries in the three countries and experts from different areas to discuss challenges and opportunities of the potential common projects.
In addition, accompanied on-site visits to the German companies, administrations and cluster regions in the Munich area will be organized within this trip.

Romania is facing a particularly great challenge due to the introduction of the nationwide fee and collection system based on the polluter-pays principle (“pay as you throw” – PAYT) and the take-back systems for packaging.
Past and ongoing projects are making the situation difficult for administrations, institutions and companies, many systems are outdated and require future-proof solutions. German companies and institutions have both the expertise, solutions and processes to meet these challenges and drive innovation further, together with Romanian and Moldovan companies.

This trip is funded as part of the market development program for SMEs of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).
