Romania’s record high participation at Munich transport logistic fair
32 companies from Romania went to Munich during the 9th – 12th May 2023 to take part to transport logistic, the world’s leading profile event, which brings together all the stakeholders in the transport and logistcs sectors. AHK Romania supported Romania’s participation and organised a joint booth of eight companies: Cartrans Preda SRL, Devega SRL, Port Bazinul Nou SA, Port of Constanța – Sea Port Administration SA Constanța, Rozoti Prodcom SRL, Systembau S.P.S. SRL, TTS Transport Trade Service SA și WDP – Warehouses De Pauw Romania SRL.
It is a high number of exhibitors, given that it is the second year that Romaia comes to this fair. At its first participation in 2019, Romania has seven exhibitors.
For Messe München co-CEOs, Stefan Rummel and Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer, transport logistic illustrated quite clearly that “the industry provides great inspiration in these challenging times. People want to get things moving, pushing forward, tackling the current issues together. What we saw and experienced here in terms of ideas and technologies over the last four days is really unique. To sum it up: nothing happens without logistics.”
After four years, the industry was eagerly awaiting the transport logistic in 2023. During the four trade fair days, it has been recorded the highest number of international exhibitors ever: of the 2,320 exhibitors, 1,390 came from abroad—a record share of 60 percent compared to the latest edition. With total exhibition space of 127,000 square meters (2019: 125,000 square meters), the ten halls and the track system in the outdoor area were completely booked out. The top ten exhibitor countries after Germany were the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, France, Austria, China, Turkey, Spain, Poland and Great Britain. More than 75,000 visitors from over 120 countries (2019: 63,893 visitors from 125 countries) came to the international industry trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management at the exhibition center in Munich. The share of international visitors rose to over 50 percent, and was therefore higher than ever.
Individual benefits for participating companies included exciting opportunities to meet potential business partners, initiate contacts for future collaborations, and meet customers, other companies and industry experts.
Messe München managed one more time to bring together the latest trends and innovations of the industry . In particular this year, sustainability has been perceived as a strong and positive topic.
The joint Romania’s booth at this fair has been a success story, with good prospects for the next edition, that will take place between 2-5 June 2025.
