The three partner institutions – Buzau City Hall, Goduni International and AHK Romania – are collaborating in a large-scale project represented by a conceptual model of green, smart and circular municipal development, which foresees the interconnection of waste management and recycling with water and energy management, as well as with regional urban development through innovative technological solutions. Existing and largely outdated isolated solutions in these areas will be replaced by a comprehensive ‘green-smart-circular’, integrative, closing loops/loops and sustainability-oriented model. Thus, the Municipality of Buzau will take important new steps to become green, smart and circular, a strategy of the Municipality in this direction already existing for several years.
The project in question is designed to ensure technical and financial feasibility, secure technology procurement and consistent and sustainable implementation. The hard preliminary efforts of the Buzau City Administration and the Goduni-AHK Romania project team, as well as the innovative and sustainable approach of the model, with a clear focus on networking and system integration, provide a good starting point and convince stakeholders. The Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) has approved funding and support for the project through its Export Initiative for Green Technologies funding programme.
The Smart – Green – Circular Buzău project will be presented during this event, which will be followed by a Q&A and feedback session.
